Badger State Brewing Co. Begins 20,000 Square Foot Expansion Project
Tuesday, May 13, 2014
GREEN BAY, WIS. - May 13, 2014 - Badger State Brewing Co. has begun a 20,000 square foot expansion project to be completed the summer of 2014, which will allow the brewery to meet a growing demand for their beer.

"There has never been a more exciting time for craft beer in Green Bay and the state of Wisconsin," said Andrew Fabry, President - Badger State Brewing Co. "Operating and growing our business in the city we grew up in has been a tremendously rewarding experience. The community support has been incredible since day one, and we could not be more thankful."

The expansion is taking place in space adjacent to the current brewing operations, located at 990 Tony Canadeo Run, which will allow production and sales to continue throughout the construction process.

The first phase of the project will include a taproom, event space and new brewing equipment that will facilitate an initial capacity of 2,500 barrels of beer to be produced annually and allow for statewide distribution. Subsequent phases of the project will include new packaging equipment and an outdoor beer garden with a view of Lambeau Field. The brewery offices will remain located at 990 Tony Canadeo Run.

Madison Craft Beer Week with Door County Brewing Company
Thursday, May 1, 2014
Door County Brewing Company is thrilled to announce the release of our two new saisons, Bière de Seigle and Pastoral at The Merchant this weekend for Madison Craft Beer Week.

Inspired by our surroundings, our families and our landscape, Door County Brewing prides itself on pushing the edge of imagination and senses by creating a one-of-a-kind product, and the two newest beers are no different.

Bière de Seigle is a Belgian inspired farmhouse ale brewed with two types of rye and our Belgian saison yeast that gives it just a hint of clove. Amid notes of citrus, green grass and subtle priciness from the rye malt, Bière de Seigle is both crisp and complex.

Pastoral is brewed in honor of the French and Belgian farmhouse breweries before us. Both refreshing and dry with notes of citrus and green grass. Smooth with a lightly hoppy finish, this simple malt bill showcases out Belgian saison yeast proving sometimes less if more.

The Merchant has been a staple in Madison beer culture for years. With the same passion for tradition and focus on quality. The Merchant in Madison is the perfect fit for the premier of our two newest brews, “We are inspired by the American Craft Movement - tradesmen and women who look to history to proudly perform their craft with knowledge and care. We work directly with local farmers who grow their crops and animals with care and natural methods, bakers who make bread and pastry by hand, and cheese makers, distillers, and wine and beer producers who use top ingredients and age-old methods.”

In celebration of Madison Craft Beer Week, come try something new with head brewer Danny McMahon pouring our two new delicious saisons Bière dr Seigle and Pastoral, Saturday May 3, from 3-6pm at The Merchant.
