Capital Brewery Introduces Cinco Soles Lager
Saturday, September 5, 2015
MIDDLETOWN - In Aztec mythology, time was cyclical and each period was ruled by a new sun. The five principal Mesoamerican civilizations - Aztec, Maya, Olmec, Zapotec and Toltec - all built marvels of architecture and sculpture embellished with designs of the sun. We are now living under the 5th sun, and Capital Brewery has developed a beer to celebrate this astrological belief.
Brewmaster Ashley Kinart stated, “Although we have our roots heavily buried in German beer and culture, the release of this crisp, refreshing beer is a toast to the heritage of our country’s southerly neighbors. I am really excited we decided to take a focus in the direction of this rich and gorgeous culture.”
Corey Wehling, V.P of Sales added, “This is a great opportunity to branch out to some new beer consumers. Studies show that the Latino community is looking for new flavorful styles of beers and giving them an option from the award winning Capital Brewery line up only seemed natural.” The packaging is unique to the craft brewing world and is printed in English on two sides and Spanish on the other two sides.
Cinco Soles is Capital’s most recent annual beer, weighing in at 5.2% alcohol by volume (ABV) and 28 International Bittering Units (IBU) and is available in 12 ounce bottles, cans, and on draft.

Capital Brewery Introduces Vacation Request Ale
MIDDLETON - Just in time for the end of summer Capital Brewery has released Vacation Request, a light bodied ale brewed with Mandarina Bavaria and Lemondrop hops plus a touch of rye. The clean and crisp citrus finish makes the final stretch before the inevitable cooler and shorter days of fall a little more bearable.
Brewmaster Ashley Kinart described her latest creation, “The citrus aroma of these hops goes really well with the mild rye spice on the finish, and I’m very happy with the turnout. This beer came together really nicely as a mingling of a few ingredients I’ve been eager to brew with.”
Vacation Request weighs in at 7% alcohol by volume (ABV) and 45 International Bittering Units (IBU) and is available in 22 ounce bottles and on draft in very limited quantities as part of the Capital Square Bomber Series.
