Door County Brewing Company Releases New Winter Seasonal Beer
Wednesday, November 18, 2015
Baileys Harbor, WI - November 18, 2015 – Door County Brewing Company announced today the December 1st release of their Winter Farmhouse Ale aptly called L’hiver, French for “the winter.” L’hiver is inspired by the traditional Belgian Strong Dark Ales and is described as dark brown, dry, with notes of dark fruit and a slight hint of citrus. L’hiver comes in at a hearty 8% ABV. Head Brewer, Danny McMahon, chose this style to be the perfect “warming” beer to get you through the cold Midwestern winters.
Following the successful September release of L’automne, L’hiver is the second of four seasonal Farmhouse Ales from Door County Brewing Co. released every three months in very limited quantities throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. “We are excited to be able to brew this series of Farmhouse Ales that pay homage to Door County’s rich Belgian history and tradition,” says Founder, John McMahon. “Danny is focused on making sure each release resonates with a seasonal sensation and the familiar flavors of our Belgian roots.”
