Just a reminder…. Horny Goat Brewing Co. partners with Wisconsin Harley-Davidson to raise money for Stars and Stripes Honor Flight
Friday, October 31, 2014
Milwaukee, Wis. - Horny Goat Brewing Co. and Wisconsin Harley-Davidson raffled off a Harley Iron 883 motorcycle and will present the proceeds - a check for $4,746 - to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, Inc. during a charity fundraiser at the Horny Goat Brew Pub, 2011 S. 1st St., on November 9th. Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, Inc. provides a free day trip to Washington, D.C. for World War II, Korean War and terminally ill veterans.

Stars and Stripes Honor Flight has transported more than 1,000 veterans to D.C. since its inception in Wisconsin in 2009. With its "Operation Resolve" initiative, 300 veterans at a time are flown at no cost to tour monuments and memorials around the National Mall for a day. For many of the participants, this is a very special trip as it's their first chance to visit these memorials.

"I saw the "Honor Flight: One Last Mission" documentary and was moved by it. My father is a Korean veteran and I'm excited to be able to give back to those who've put their lives on the line so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today," said Jim Sorenson, Horny Goat Brewing Co. owner and CEO.

During Horny Goat's November 9th "Stars and Stripes Goat Gives Back" event, the brew pub will also donate 5 percent of its gross sales to Honor Flight between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Patrons are also encouraged to give cash donations and any donation over $10 will receive one free beer from the pub.

Horny Goat Brewing Co. and Fireball Whiskey raise $1,137.80 for ALS
Wednesday, October 15, 2014
Milwaukee, Wis. - Teaming up with Fireball Whiskey, Horny Goat Brewing Co. put its own spin on the "ALS Ice Bucket Challenge" with a fundraising event on Sept. 28 that raised $1,137.80 for the Wisconsin chapter of the ALS Association. Horny Goat rented a dunk tank for its "Fire and Ice" event and charged patrons to dunk local Milwaukee celebrities like Cousin Ed from FM 106.9, along with also doing a 50/50 raffle and donating 5 percent of sales that day.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons eventually leads to neuron death and the inability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement. Patients in the later stages of ALS may become totally paralyzed.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge went viral on social media during July and August. Since then, more than 1 million people, including celebrities, politicians and organizations have shared videos of themselves on social media participating in the challenge. In August, the ALS Association announced that in just one-month's time, it had received more than $100 million in donations.

Horny Goat's "Goat Gives Back" is a monthly fundraiser during which the brewery donates 5 percent of all revenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to a selected charity. For more information on Horny Goat's involvement with ALS and other charities, contact Marketing Manager Matthew Capaul, at matt@hgbrewing.com.
